Mute Math Band Roadies Fool Mike & Mike

ESPN Radio's Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg, hosts of the morning drive radio show Mike and Mike In The Morning, Tuesday appeared on CBS' The Late Show with David Letterman.

Backstage before their appearance, roadies from the band Mute Math told Golic and Greenberg they were members of the band and asked to take pictures with the two, Golic and Greenberg said on their radio show Wednesday.

When the band came out to play on stage, Golic and Greenberg said no one on the stage resembled the guys who asked for pictures before the show, adding that they must have been fooled by a few of their roadies.

Like College Football, A Disappointing End?

Stars React to 'Sopranos' Finale

On ESPN Radio and ESPN2's Mike and Mike in the Morning Monday, Mike Greenberg noted that Sunday's final episode of HBO's "The Sopranos" was similar to the end of a college football season in the way it leaves fans questioning what could have been.

Mike Golic quickly refuted his partner's comments, saying it was much different from the Bowl Championship season because with college football, there is always another season beginning about nine month later.

In Sunday's 'Sopranos,' Tony didn't get whacked as many expected. Rather, the show's writers left the conclusion of the series open for its viewers.

If LeBron James is Justin Timberlake, Is Tim Duncan Rivers Cuomo?

The NBA Finals begin tonight in San Antonio, with LeBron James trying to live up to the hype of what is potential could be.

While Trey Wingo and Mike Golic got off the topic of football once again on Thursday's NFL Live, they invited Sports Illustrated's Rick Reilly on the show. Reilly said he believes King James is equivalent of Justin Timberlake during his time with NSYNC.

Earlier Thursday on the Dan Patrick Show, Reilly made the same comment and added that LeBron taking the Cavs on his shoulders to the championship would be the equal to Timberlake helping NSYNC win a Grammy. Right on Reills.

NFL Live Needs to Find More Offseason FOOTBALL News

Tirade Earns Wellman 3-game Suspension

NPSE Zone Commentary
By Patrick W. Connelly

Monday's edition of NFL Live was so scant on actual NFL news that host Trey Wingo and analysts Mike Golic and John Clayton spent a portion of the program discussing how a tirade similar to Lou Piniella's and minor league coach Phillip Wellman's would translate in disciplinary actions on the National Football League's sidelines.

After arguing calls by umpires over the weekend, Piniella netted a four-game suspension from Major League Baseball, while Wellman was suspended three. Granted, outside of player arrests and the ongoing Michael Vick dogfighting scandal, there's little NFL headlines on a day-to-day basis. I, like everyone else, thought NFL Live 365 days a year would be great, but let's at least keep it on topic guys.

Yes, baseball managers objecting to the calls of an umpire that negatively affect their team are as much a part of the game as sunflower seeds, rosin bags, a mouthful of tobacco or - dare I say - steroids. Its entertaining. Would football be entertaining with coaches throwing hats at referees? Maybe, but I don't really want to find out - and quite honestly, I never even gave it a thought until Golic, Clayton and Wingo brought up the vision Monday.
